day 28 - favorite movie from your favorite director
The Darjeeling Limited - Wes Anderson. Wes Anderson, though so hipster and often mocked, is my favorite director. I own more of his movies than any other, and I love his style, not to mention the stockpile of terrific actors that he’s gathered to be a part of his films. I love everything about his movies, particularly this one, from the constant and perfect use of the Kinks to the subtlety of the humor throughout. This movie makes me think every time, and though it was a tough call between this and the Royal Tenenbaums, this one won out, probably more because of Adrien Brody than any other particular reason.
